Elinore J. Dorshimer, 92, of Slatington, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, in Complete Care at Lehigh, Macungie. Born in 1932, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillie ( Metzger) Fenstermaker. For 60 wonderful years Elinore was married to the love of her life, the late Harold Dorshimer, who passed away on October 10, 2010. Elinore worked as a presser for the former Robbie Sue Manufacturing in Slatington. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Slatedale and Walnutport Senior Citizens. Harold and Elinore lived many retirement years in Winter Haven, Florida. They enjoyed several years of camping with family and friends. They also traveled the world with sister, Geraldine and Frank Horwith. Survivors include daughter, Cynthia Snyder (Robert) of Slatington; son, Bryan Dorshimer (Susan) of Hilton Head Island, SC; grandchildren, NoraJean, Robert Jr., Lisa, Bryan II, and Jaime; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Benjamin, Samantha, Peter, Hannah, Dylan, Jake, Noah and Liam; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers, Charles, Carl and sisters, Sylvia, Geraldine and Shirley. Services will be on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Kevin E. Hunsicker Funeral Home Inc., 4214 Main St., Slatedale, at 12 PM, call 11 AM-12PM. Pastor David L. Hess will be officiating and interment will be at Slatedale Cemetery.
